Biography

Jan is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr Mohamed Zaki in the Cambridge Service Alliance. His research interests are in improving customer experience with advanced natural language processing technology. In particular, he is looking into personalising customer service interactions with conversational AI.

Prior to starting his PhD, Jan graduated with an MPhil in Industrial Systems, Manufacture and Management from the University of Cambridge, where he worked closely with Dr Frank Tietze on Intellectual Property strategy development for service intense business models. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. As part of an exchange program, Jan spent one year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London.
