The Cambridge Service Alliance (CSA) hosted a two-day event titled ‘Shaping the Future of Service Management’. This was a PhD Forum in collaboration with Journal of Service Management.
This event was hosted and facilitated by Prof Mohamed Zaki (CSA), Russa Ligthart (Laurea University) and Prof Lars Witell (Linkoping University).
This provided an opportunity for PhD Students and Early Career Researchers to meet and collaborate in groups to develop a manuscript for leading service journals, such as the Journal of Service Management.
We had various Senior Academics in attendance at this event. With their help we manged to have two ‘Academic Panels’ during the event.
One titled ‘How to write a paper in Service Management Journals? Research Idea, methodologies, practical implications’ with Prof Janet McColl-Kennedy – University of Queensland; Prof Dahlia El-Manstrly – University of Sheffield; Prof Stephan Henneberg - Queen Mary University of London and Prof Tor W Andreassen - Norwegian School of Economics (NHH)
The second one was titled ‘How to develop an academic career as a scholar in Service Management’ with Prof Jamie Burton – University of Manchester; Prof Zsofia Toth – University of Durham; Prof Nima Heirati – University of Surrey; Prof David Diaz – University of Chile and Dr Ghasem Zaefarian – University of Leeds
On the second day we were also joined by delegates for Industry who each gave a detailed presentation of their work.
