Return to Rationality, how does Blockchain Empower Traditional Industry? – A case of Everledger’s application in the diamond industry

Xia Han co-authored an article titled “Return to Rationality, how does Blockchain Empower Traditional Industry? – A case of Everledger’s application in the diamond industry” on Tsinghua Business Review. Tsinghua Business Review is a top practice-oriented management journal in Chinese with one of the largest readerships in industry and academia.

 This article demystifies the popular grand narratives of “decentralization”, “disintermediation”, and “disruptive technology” surrounding blockchain by analyzing the industry enabling capabilities of the technology. A case study is used to illustrate the basic logic of creating value through blockchain in the diamond industry.
